Henry's Story

Life FirstLast at-sign comcast period net. Invite you to contact. Can't spell it out they will delete it. - - - - - I finally RETIRED (que Snoopy’ s “happy dance”) as of April 1st 2018 (no joke :-) from ____ :-) having worked there as a ____ :-) ;-). It has really been a career change to where I am now a full time real estate developer - renovating a recently acquired vacation townhouse on Cape Cod and slowly administering to a huge ‘sticky note’ pile of ‘To-Do’ projects that has built up over the years for our Boston suburb home. My wife Gail now fulfills a lifelong ambition of mine of being a ‘kept-man’ by continuing to work, heroically meeting the challenges middle school students often present. With my retirement we have reorganized and reassigned some household tasks. I have actually come to enjoy the food toxic haven large grocery stores provide - mastering the labyrinth of isles - proudly learning that the myriad little spice jars are stocked alphabetically. Our younger daughter Adrienne started off last year continuing as a local regional director for Senator Elizabeth Warren and then as a political director for the New Hampshire Democratic Party to help in the Democrats ’ midterm House takeover efforts. She was then recruited onto Elizabeth Warren’s Presidential Exploratory comm...Expand for more
ittee and now campaign committee. Our older daughter Lauren has been continuing in her research and teaching at Boston University (coincidentally my Alma Mata). She is now just a year away from achieving her doctorate in Chemistry. A highlight of 2018 for us was Lauren’s and Eric’ s wedding in September. So we now have an Eric-son :-) The wedding was held on Cape Cod - home to some of Gail’s pilgrim era ancestors’ descendants, and our family’s favorite summer vacation venue, (beaches are like Jones and South Hampton). - - - - - A 50th anniversary must invoke some reflection of our generation. We have succeeded, or in the process at least, in ending our generation’s ‘Prohibition’ ;-) though it’s taken/taking four times longer. Let me know if anyone has something different ‘to write home about’. - - - - - To classmates of ’69, 50 years ago we were all at the threshold of the beginning of our adult lives, and now, well to be frank, a converse threshold. I hope you all had, and continue to have, an as satisfying and fulfilling journey as I. And so “But tell me…” (que “Drops of Jupiter”). Lastly and quintessentially reunion-ish, “Would you walk on by…” ----- Invite you to contact: FirstNameLastname at-sign Comcast dot net Alternately: FirstNameLastInitial at-sign bu dot edu [no spaces]
