Herbert's Story
My story, as all our stories are, filled with a life time of memories. Presently, I am a part time Episcopal missionary in Taiwan, still at 77 years old. After serving in both the US Army and US Navy as a chaplain, and teaching with the UMUC (University of Maryland University Collage) on military bases in South Korea, Japan, PR China, and Singapore, I retired to the missions in Taiwan. ome in Scottsdale, Arizona where I reside four months a year. It is difficult to imagine high school at Nurnberg sixty years ago. It seems that I am just "retired": retired USN Commander, retired Associate Professor, retired Episcopal Priest, Yet, although "retired" frames my story, it does not frame my continuing story in these end of life episodes.
