Herbert's Story
Life
I'm an engineer in aerospace manufacturing. I love building things that fly, and, if they shoot back at the bad guys, -all the better.
I've had the unique pleasure of working as an engineer on important aerospace programs of our time (the Space Shuttle, F-22, the Delta IV rocket, etc) in Southern California, San Diego, Seattle, Northeast Alabama, and now Texas, and gotten a few patents in the process.
Recently, I was certified Level III as a Systems Engineer, to go with the patents and invention awards I've already earned working in aerospace manufacturing. It pays the bills and it's gratifying moving American aerospace manufacturing technology forwar...Expand for more
d, and mentoring young engineers, who are the future of our technology.
Whenever confronted with a problem, I always ask myself: "What is the positive approach?"
For, ultimately, that is what is required.
I am a happy warrior and a happy tree-hugging Hippie and a renaissance man.
The true irony of my life is that I'm a peace-loving Hippie in military aerospace.
The resolution and synthesis is that I deal with alot of warriors and of this I am certain: no-one loves peace so much as one who has been to war.
When I retire I want to be able to say that I made a difference, and that I was part of the important (and interesting) engineering work of our time.
