Herman's Story
Hi Everyone:
Well right now I am in my 22nd year as a Police Officer in Inglewood School District (California). I have been a full time pastor. I am the father of two wonderful sons. I graduated for College of the Redwoods. I went to Biola College in the Los Angeles area and received a Bachelor Degree in Bible Exposition (I actually studied Greek). I went on to Seminary and graduated with a Masters Degree.
My oldest son, Nathan, graduated from Berkeley; Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He didn't get that from his 0'Man! He is working on a law degree from George Mason University. My younger son, Matthew, went to Biola and graduated with honors. He has already earned two masters degrees from T...Expand for more
albot Theological Seminary (my old Alma Mater) and Fuller Seminary. He is now working on his doctorate. I didn't mention it, but my son (Matt) is also the Senior Pastor of our church, with over 150 people attending weekly. I am also blessed with 3 grandchildren and 2 on the way. I really dig "Grandkids!"
From February, 2006 to February, 2007, I was part of a team for the State Department that went to Iraq to train Iraqi Police Officers. I was blown up twice in vehicles by I.E.D.'s; not to mention the monitor attacks. I was glad to survive and come home.
I miss you guys. I made it back for the 20th reunion, but I have not been back since. Keep in touch if you want.
