Hilary's Story
Life
Let's see, since DHS... Four years at U of Puget Sound. Degree in Finance. Six years working at KeyCorp in Investment Management. During that time, got my Chartered Financial Analyst designation and finished my MBA at Case Western Reserve University (oh yeah, moved to Cleveland with Key in 1994). In Cleveland, I also sang for four years with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. In 1999, I moved to Dayton, OH, where I took a new job in managing private and public equity investments. I left there in July 2003 to take a job as Investment Strategist at a small financial planning firm. Travels have taken me to Japan, Mexico, England, Scotland, Prague, Italy, and various parts of the US. Moved to Columbia, SC in December 2006. New job with the state retirement system. New house. Workplace
Post college in 1992, Puget Sound National Bank as a temp in Trust Operations. KeyCorp merger and I get hired as an administrative assistant in the Investment area of the Trust department. October 1994, and I move to KeyCorp's headquarters in Cleveland, OH, to do analytical work in the investment management division. August 1999, moved to Dayton, OH, to take a job with Dayton Power and Light working on their $1 billion private equity portfolio. I moved on in 2003 to a small financial planner to be their investment strategist (and investment department). In January 2007, following heart and career, I started work in Columbia, SC, as the Senior Equity Officer for the SC Retirement System Investment Commission. In January 2008 I was promoted to Director of Public and Private Equities.
