Hiroko's Story
Although I graduated from Everett High School in Lansing, Michigan, St. Joseph has always been my school to me. I went to Atlanta Area Tech after I graduated from high school. I went to work for Atlanta Public School where I was a school secretary for 12 years and other 20 years, I worked as an Office Associate III in the Finance Department of the Atlanta Public Schools. I retired in 2002. I have two wonderful children and one grandchild. My son, Lee, is 32. He is working as a network technician at the Nalley Trucking Company. My daughter, Andrea, is 27. the city of Albany. She is also working on her master's degree (on-line) from Northwestern Missouri University at night. My granddaughter, Peyton, is 7. She is in 2nd grade. I married Andy Johnson in 1971. We were married for 30 years. When he was 48, he was diagnosed with Glyoblastoma (brain cancer). He died in June 8, 2000. I met my second husband, Doug Knowles, through my best friend. Doug and I were married in 2002. We are both retired and we enjoy traveling and fishing. Doug enjoys golfing as often as he can. We live in the golf community and our back yard is the lake and our front is the golf course so it's so much fun living here in Griffin, Georgia.
