Holly's Story
Life
Married thirty years to Joe Wohlwend.We live in the country just outside of Anna, IL. I teach at Marion High School in Marion, IL - the hub of the universe. Now, I am teaching special education - reading and American History.Our kids keep us going to every sport known to man. My daughter is a Sr. at SIU with plans to move to Chicago in the summer and my son is a Sr. at AJ with plans to go into education. We are primarily a football household right now. Go AJ and Marion! Joe is a clinical pharmacist at Choate Mental Health and is a reservist for the Air Force at Scott AFB, holding the rank of Major, and that keeps us going too.

ved and the facial nerve replaced on my right side. I am still recovering as the nerve has to regenerate but my smile is getting stronger each day. I am really lucky to be here as my cancer was fourth stage, however the good thing was that it was an immature undeveloped cell type that usually is removed and not seen again. I underwent 30 radiation treatments at Barnes, living with my sister Amy during that time period. She nursed me through it all and back to health. I had only the 26th reported case of this cell type and it was there all my life before it attacked my nerve. So, my first 50 years I had cancer and now I expect my next 50 or more to be cancer-free!
