Holly's Story
Life
After ditching the religion at age 19, I got on with living MY life (and making up for lost time!)
I moved to Tempe, AZ to go to ASU and I loved it. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. I realized in the year before I graduated that I did NOT want to sit behind a computer all day so I put off getting a real job. Instead, I moved to Ireland with a boyfriend who was contracted to work there for a year. I was bored out of my mind since I couldn't work and I hated the fact that it rained ALL THE TIME (I really love to be outside!). The benefit was that I got to travel in the rest of Europe. I went to France, Spain, Switzerland (awesome Alps!), England, and Amsterdam.
After seven months in Ireland, I was more than ready to go back to AZ (since I was broke and bored!) I moved back and got a "real job" as a MIS Coordinator for a restaurant chain. I spent ...Expand for more
a year doing that but I was sick of not having friends and a normal life so I quit in February and moved to Glenwood Springs, CO. I had been up here on and off throughout the winter since I met and started dating a ski instructor here. When I moved here, the director of the ski school said that he would hire me as an instructor so that is how I spent the rest of the season. I spent this past summer as a whitewater raft guide and I also worked at the local Brewpub for extra $$. I accompanied my husband (the instructor, married 4/16/01...on skis!) to his homeland (Sweden) at the end of September and we just got back from our honeymoon in Costa Rica.
