Holly's Story
DECEASED - December 2017.
A wee bit of info about Holly's life after she left Paris HS.
Holly and her then husband, left the Greenville area shortly after high school and moved to Georgia. They divorced afterward.
In Georgia, Holly worked at Delta Air Lines doing data entry. At Delta, she met her future husband, Clark Hubbard. They married in 1965 and had 2 daughters. Holly left work to raise the girls and was a wonderful mom and did a magnificent job raising them. Both graduated from The University of Georgia and are quite succesful in their respective careers. She was so very proud of them and their succeses.
Holly was an excellent cook and homemaker and in her spare time, became a good tennis player. Her COPD forced her to give up tennis so she took up golf. Holly was getting pretty good at golf too. Then her COPD put a halt to ALL her sporting activities.

UT - she could still enjoy the outdoors. Several visits yearly to soak up the sunshine at Hilton Head and also along the "Redneck Riviera" in various locations along the Gulf Coast between Pennsacola and Panama City Beach. She also enjoyed sunning on the roof of our houseboat at Lake Lanier where we spent most summer weekends. We were spending so much time at the lake, we decided to just move there in 1999.
A few years later, we sold the houseboat and bought our Winter home in Venice, Florida and the Lake Lanier home became our Summer home. Holly got her best suntan ever during those Florida winters. She really really loved the beach, loved her dog, and adored our daughters.
Holly passed away Dec. 2017 from COPD.
Holly's ashes are spread at her favorite Venice Beach sunning spot so that her spirit may eternally enjoy the warm sunshine and the smell of the sea.
