Holly's Story
Life
(My Spouse)
I met my spouse at an antique car club meeting, with my parents. I had been divorced for about a year and was spending a lot of time with my family on the weekends. I was informed that my parents were going to this banquet but I was welcome to go. With nothing else to do, I went and there he was. He was youngest person there.
(My Daughter)
I have a 11 year old daughter. Which we adopted in 2002 but it took us about 4 years to complete due to the attorney sitting on the uncontested case.
School
I look back on school very fondly and probably would not change a thing but maybe my senior year. I met my first husband that year and put him before my friends. Although, I see some of them now (not often), I wish I had stayed in touch.
College
I started Columbus State, which was CTI, in...Expand for more
September of 1982. I attended for 1 quarter and then dropped out because I wanted to get married at the time. I told myself that I would go back after the wedding but never did.
Workplace
Most of my working life is worked in Customer Service call centers. I took a part time job at a Hallmark store which turned into fulltime Manager. I loved this job but the hours were bad for raising a family. When I first took this job I was married with a husband that was on the road 4 days a week and it was a perfect job to keep me busy but then we brought our daughter into our home and I just didn't have the time to spend with her, especially when she started school and all the program were during the holidays which were the busiest time for me. I currently am driving a School Bus for a contractor with Columbus Public Schools.
