Holly's Story
Wow...
It's a lot of fun reading through all these names and recognizing them... I can't always "see" the face but I remember the name.
All my school years were spent in Enumclaw except for my Kindergarten year which was spent in Seattle. I also had a brief stint with Auburn Off-campus in the second half of my Sophomore year.
I didn't graduate from Enumclaw but given the right circumstances, I would have been a good student. I would have loved working for the school newspaper or the year book. I loved reading and English but my drug and alcohol abuse kept me from fitting into the system. I think the school saw me as a hopeless case. This was confirmed for me when I was only handed 3 classes for my Sophomore year and one of them was study hall. H-mmmmm? Hint-hint? ¿
Oh, well, life goes on right? Education...Expand for more
does not stop at High school or 4 + years of college. For me, it will go on forever.
I'm very thankful toward Mr. Hansen. He tested me during my Junior year and he told my boyfriend that he thought I was very intelligent. I've clung to that one and only positive statement many times. I'm also thankful toward Mr. Becker. I don't know how he did it, but he was the only teacher who was able to help me in Math.
Some changes that would probably surprise my class mates:
I married young and I've stayed happily married.
I had 4 boys and I home schooled them.
I've always been a stay at home mom.
My husband Bobby and I have moved all over the country.
One of the reasons I joined Classmates was because I was so home sick. ~Sigh~ There's just something about Enumclaw...
