I left Birmingham Southern College after a year and headed north where I ended up graduating from Temple University. I worked on Wall Street for several years and went back to school and got an MBA from Wharton UofPenn. After graduating I joined a boutique consulting firm where we advised tech startups and IT companies on everything from market positioning, business development, investment funding to IPO. I left that after a few years and ended up comng to Korea, my native country, for a business venture of my own. However, the onset of the Asian financial crisis put an end to that business. I next moved to Japan where I lived and worked for a year and a half at a venture incubator which was quite interesting. I returned to Korea again where I held jobs at KPMG, Ernst & Young, and JP Morgan in their principal investments group.
