I am still active. Last year my college, Thiel, inducted me into its hall of fame for wrestling. This last year I swam the 5.5 mile Great South Bay Race, did the 90 mile kayak race in the Adirondacks and ran a couple of trail rac...Expand for more
es in Pennsylvania. I am getting ready to climb Killimanjaro in January with a couple of friends. I taught 6th grade for 38 years and coached the girls' cross country team at Kings Park. I look forward to hearing from past mates.

Why put yourself through 12 miles of pain in the Nationals in Syracuse?  We do it not for the trinkets but for a pint of Utica Club beer at the finish.
Seven foot waves and 20 mph winds greeted the racers at the Shelter Island Paddle Race yesterday.  Some
participants added swimming to the event.  Pizza and beer at the finish made it all worthwhile.

Another stellar job was performed by the staff of the forth annual Shelter Island Paddle Races.  As usual the water was rough as the wind blew.
The staff at the Shelter Island Paddle Race did a stellar job.  The ubiquitous rough water and wind made this event memorable again.
