Howard's Story
Hope you are doing well!
I originally left Miami to continue my filmmaking education at San Diego State University.
I really enjoyed San Diego. I met many wacky friends that ended up living all over the country. A few moved like me to Los Angeles to find work in the Film/TV industry. It turned out to be a difficult business that depends on connections you make, a lot of luck and sheer persistence.
I became a Film/Video Editor which is hard work, not very stable and not so glamorous. I do bump into Stars now and then - I say excuse me and hope I don't get fired! I have a few stories here and there. You can Google me, but things are never quite up to date.
It's hard to believe, I've now been in Southern California longer than I lived in Florida. I still visit Miami at least once a year and enjoy seeing...Expand for more
my old friends.
For charity and to kill time, in 2003 I founded a website - thinkPEACE dot net to promote the UN's annual September 21st Peace Day. By 2007 I was able to enlist 48 worldwide Comedy Clubs (including the three South Florida Improvs) to participate in Peace Day Comedy (Stand-up For International Peace). There are many goals for this site, but the first phase is general awareness of Peace Day so that it might become as well known as Earth Day and inspire people to do something!
I occasionally write and perform amateur Stand-Up Comedy. I enjoy and do well at making and writing jokes, but was never much of a performer (just like High School).
If you can, please donate to the World Food Program run by the U.N. wfp dot org and keep trying to save the planet!
