Howard's Story
Graduated from Bayside in 1976 and went to Stony Brook, where I was a theater major. Spent my junior year at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales, and returned to graduate in 1980. Spent 3-4 years as an actor, standup comic and street mime, including a few years as a regular extra and bit part player on Saturday Night Live. Zabel ever since, making partner in 1994. I am a corporate litigator, representing various hedge and private equity funds. I was lead trial counsel on the firm's pro bono representation of the victims of Hurricane Katrina in a class action law suit against FEMA, resulting in FEMA being prevented from evicting tens of thousands of victims from FEMA subsidized hotels until victims' applications for housing assistance had been acted on. I have a wife and 2 sons, 17 and 12. My 17 year old goes off to Brown in September 2009.
