I enjoyed school, the people, teachers, the environment, the teachers and the time. I met many wonderful and supportive people. In the eight grade thanks to a teachers and counsellors I was supportive to review directions I had been taking and decide to take different directions - at this time kind and caring people help me see some of life's potentials. I greatly enjoyed singing in choir - it was fantastic and singing is still a passion. teenager grow and feel better e.g. reasonable wardrobes, ability to buy a cafeteria lunch and see an occasional film. My part time job required me to work 35 hours a week - I studied hard and graduated 21st in my class of 666 students. I was awarded as Class Historian. I was facinated by history and the world and yearned to travel - and books seem like the only available way I would travel and get some sense of the world. My home room teacher a wonderful woman once said slow down Rome was not built in a day. When I started in the seven grade their were more than 1200 students.
