After leaving Junction City at the end of my sophomore year, I attended the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, TX my junior year. Finished high school at Fort Campbell High School in Ft. Campbell Ky. Was a National Merit Scholarship finalist and won an appointment to the Naval Academy. Went to USNA, 33rd Company, Class of 85. Majored in Political Science and working on the Hop Committee at weekend dances. Discovered I should have paid more attention in math classes when I was asked to leave at the end of my junior year after a less than stellar academic performance. Decided to show them by enlisting in the Marine Corps and getting my commission the hard way. Got married. Went back to school at night to finish my Computer Science degree at National University. After getting my degree and lining up for OCS, was medically discharged due to injuries received in an argument with my parachute (I wanted it to stay open, it didn’t want to). Got a job with the local telecom division of Sprint in Pennsylvania managing their internal data networks and desktops.
