Ida Charlene's Story
Life wasted on facebook lol
Hello, out there. I'm still kickin. I use to be known in school as Pinky, been called Charlie by everyone else.I went to work in a collection agency(BOO!) during senior year of high school and became head of filing department before I graduated school. I stayed with the company for twelve years, setting up and running different departments. Was a single mom for a short time(gasp!!). Was not fun juggling work and motherhood. Admire all the women out there including my daughters who with or without a partner can do it all. I've been a stay at home mom, since 1974 when I married Dennis Grzyb (SMHS class 1965--he has since driven me totally insane--can't believe it's been over thirty years). I have four children, and three Grandchildren While my kids were growing, I loved doing the homeroom mother, soccer mom, cookie lady bit (REALLY I DID!). Now, I am enjoying being a Grandmother. I take care of my Grandchildren while their moms are at work. Our family goes on road trips around the state (when the price of gas is not so high two or three large vehicles eat alot of gas but the children need the time with family). We visit National Parks, tourist traps and such. Some times don't know exactly where we are heading when we set out. We have picnics at lakes and go to car shows. I really enjoy taking photos of the scenery (have some great pictures of 12 million year old rocks on Mount Lemmon)and of course some awesome pics of my Grandchildren. I have way too many pics they are going to fill trunks when I print them all out, those discs don't last forever you know. Whatever happened to micro-film? I really like editing ...Expand for more
the pics on the couple of programs I have on my computer(Oh, look little Peanut doesn't have a tree growing out of her head anymore and the zit just disappeared from Beaus nose!) I love taking pictures of hot air balloons also. Get great shots at the Thumderbird Balloon Classic every year.May make it to Albuquerque this year. Never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, so spent much of my time just learning anything and everything I could. Now my mind is full of useless trivia, and I can't find my keys. Since we bought a computer a few years ago I have been adding to the drivel in my head, playing The Sims (love designing and decorating houses more than the actual playing God bit)have been visiting all the cool genealogical sites doing research on My Family Tree (got over 8000 names connected---ya know we're all related). Check it out some time you may have a nut like me hanging on yours! I watch WAY too much TV, am addicted and once had a book with lists of movies you could watch on TV, really bad,I had seen the majority of those listed. For those who have left Phoenix, our school has been completely demolished and rebuilt and Phoenix has changed considerably. Urban sprawl at its worst. I live in the Deer Valley area and don't get down to the old stomping grounds very often, but know South Phoenix is changing and growing again. Would like to hear from anyone who remembers me. Anyone out there?? Hello??? Guess not, oh well, guess I'll go watch Rupert eat another bug (youngest son tapes favorite shows)or watch Frazier repeats. Maybe I'll do a crosssword puzzle, read another book by Sylvia Brown, or check the night sky for UFO's. Bye!
