Idi's Story
Wish I could have attended our graduation ceremony in 1979 but you may recall in January of that year the Tanzania People's Defence Force joined up with several groups of Ugandan exiles and caused quite a ruckus in my home town. My army ran like cowards, and, despite significant help from my pal Muammar Gaddafi, I was forced to flee into exile by helicopter during April. I escaped to Libya, where I stayed until 1980.

minute and then suddenly angry, violent, and brutal the next with little or no warning. Many friends have speculated my behavior was either the result of long-term syphilis of the brain or possibly undiagnosed and untreated bipolar disorder. The truth is my mood swings were a symptom of the disease Kuru. One too many wild parties at the top of Mt Mercy hill back in the day!
Nowadays I'm on the other side of the dirt but still thinking of my fellow Royals. Rock on Royals, rock on!
