Okay...so after a 15-year career in the beauty industry I decided that I needed a more traditional education so I went back to college. I discovered a whole new world of opportunities but more importantly, I discovered myself and how in order to be happy I had to take charge of my life and set some goals. I embarked on an educational endeavor of obtaining a degree in business and also got a job in the Transfer/Career Center in a local community college. I then discovered that my true calling was to assist others in achieving their educational goals. So...I changed my major to Psychology and am working toward a Masters degree so that I can become a counselor. To finance this endeavor as well as all other bills and college tuition for 3 of our kids I am currently working as an Outreach and Recruitment Specialist at the same community college where I attended. I get to tell the world (mostly high school students) how wonderful higher education is. So...that's the professional story.
