Ira's Story
After Lane - Queens College - BS in physics of all things.
After brief stint in Army (ours) off to Washington DC for gainful employment in 64.
Married Roberta Blumenfeld (Lane 60). She tells me we've been happily married for 46 years but she wasn't so sure about it a couple of times last week.
Went to work for the Navy (ours again) in 67. Got a PhD in Physics in 71. (thank you taxpayers). Aided numerous administrations in their cold war efforts (remember the good old days?). Specialized in searching for Soviet submarines near Hawaii. Tried to spend as much time as possible scanning the oceans from Waikiki beach. Retired in 99.

both in the Washington area and each with 2 extremely gifted and overly energetic children. Grand kids slept over recently in a veiled attempt to collect their inheritance early. But we're tough. We're survivors. (see picture of the little angels during a brief rest period)
Daughter in Scarsdale who is a serious jock. Lately she's taken up ice hockey.(???) Typically, she goes out to play with a bunch of other nutty ladies at 10:30 or 11pm. She's an environmental engineer during daylight hours.
After retirement I was on the Town Council for 10 years. However I was swept out of office last April by a group of speed bump activists. I am mulling over a comeback.
