Irene's Story
Moved to Key West, Florida 1964. Met and married John W. Jackson. Had a son Feb.4, 1967. Moved to St. Louis, Mo. Lived there for 7 years. Divorced and moved back to Tampa. Remarried. Divorced (long story).
Got a job at USF Library and started taking classes part time. Finally graduated 1988 with Ba in Education. Moved to West Palm Beach. Worked as Special Ed. classroom teacher in West Palm. Moved around some more. Came back to Tampa to care for aging mother. Worked at Land O Lakes High School while participating in fast track program at USF for grad work. Awarded Master's degree in Education 1998. Moved back to West Palm. Retired 2008 and moved back to Tampa (New Port Richey).Since retiring I have authored and was lucky enough to have published 4 companion novels (Jack, A Matter of Survival, The Ophir, and V Is For Vampyre). "Zana" my 5th book is a work in progress. I even wrote one or two articles for Florida Sport Fishing and Florida Sportsman that were published (LOL). nd against aggressive behavior in school for themselves. I also completed a manual on personal growth for individuals seeking to develop their own innate higher level of awareness.
I became interested in alternative medicine (Photobiomed) in 2013. I am now a color light therapist(CLT). I teach CLT classes for a more holistic alternative self-healing approach to physical, emotional and psychological issues.
Hobbies: I do acrylic paintings that I donate to fundraisers, or give as gifts. As stated before, I write now and then. I enjoy traveling (been to South America, Mexico, Canada and the Bahamas so far), exploring unusual places and meeting new people. I also enjoy outdoor adventure i.e canopy tours, kayaking, white water rafting, and tubing,
I have 6 grandchildren (5 girls one boy). My oldest grandchild is History teacher in Ocala, Fl. My oldest grandson is a linguist in the Airforce.. The rest of the girls are between ages 17 and 2 yrs. The girls are precocious, home-schooled, extremely intelligent young ladies. My son is a commercial artist (see: JohnnyAtomicStudios.com) and has been one of my greatest inspirations..
