I attended Hartsell School from 1948-1959--Ms Spencer was my first grade teacher----I lived on Highlands Avenue & walked to school with my older brother , June Bug--along with my older sisters Louise & Betty Jo--along with other kids whom time has erased from my memory---June Bug says " Spencer Porter was a neighbor"--so I imagine--he walked with us----------We also lived at 39 Rockwell Road most of my childhood---Boy--Was that a long walk----The Crowell Clan was neighbors& we had China berry trees in our front yards---Naturally when w...Expand for more
e got mad ---we would climb the trees & throw china berrys at each other-----If our parents wasn't around we'd yell ugly words--------We moved to 49 Park Avenue in 1955--Neighbors ---"The Overcash Clan"--The Ford Clan"--The Kirby Clan"--The Foster Clan"--"The Litaker Clan"--& others------Back on Rockwell Road--nearby was Patsy Yates---Diane Ford---"The Lambert Clan"--"The Helms Clan"--"The Weast Clan" "The Cox Clan" "The Plummers"& the" Queens"--also "The Hurlockers" & 'The Overcash Clan with the triplets" Larry--Leonard and Laura----
