Irma's Story
After graduation, I attended St. Joseph's College for Women and then St John's Univ. I went on to teach Elem. school in B'klyn for about 4 years. Then learned about the overseas military school system. I applied with the Air Force & was accepted as a civilian employee.
I went on to teach in Japan, England & Germany. It was a great & amazing experience.
I got to travel extensively, throughout Asia & Europe & formed wonderful lifetime friends, both American & non- American. I did not however, chose to make it a life time career.

I married in 1973 to a fellow soc'l worker &spent 30 yrs working in the fields of Foster Care &
Adoption. Bob & I never had children. We lived in Valley Cottage, Rockland Cty, for 25 yrs.
Then retired here to Tucson, AZ in '97. Sadly lost Bob to prostate cancer in '04. But I love it here and have many wonderful friends, including a young (60ish) couple who have
adopted me!
Would love to hear from any Prospectors. I realize that there are not a lot of us left from 70
years ago. And of course many don't know about the site. I just stumbled on it accidentally
a few days ago.
