Isabel's Story
Life
I lived in Palm Springs for the past 11 years before moving back to Fontana. (What is it about this place that would make a person want to come back? Total culture shock from living in the desert for so long). I moved back to Fontana a year ago due to job relocation. I am a Broker/Underwriter with a large Surplus Lines Insurance Brokerage. I am married, and have 2 beautiful children. Amanda, 22 and Warren, 11. Amanda married her high school sweetheart 4 months after graduation in 2003. She currently attends college taking courses in dentistry. My son-in-law Carlos is a Corporal for the U.S. Marine Corp. He has served duty in Iraq and upon returning, blessed me with grandchildren - twins - a girl and a boy! Although 2006 was my year of so many changes and blessings, I also experienced great loss as well. My daughter's father, John Gatterer, passed away October 21, 2006. Some may remember John, he was from Fontana too. He lived behind Ryan's dairy and threw some great parties! Paul (Cliff) Loomis and he were step brothers. e center of my life and strength. Now in my 40's, many year's after graduating high school, experiencing life's failures and success, sorrow and joy, I am able to reflect on life and say, it has been a great ride! email ms underscore izzy underscore bellat ya hoo.
UPDATE
Life has been good for the last couple years. I have a new grandson Obediah Thomas. His is such a good baby. Very loveable! Nevaeh is now 2 years old and she keeps me young. I love that kid. She is a little genius! My son in law just got out of the Marines after 6 years and two tours to Kuwait. I am so proud of him. He is a good husband and provider for my daughter and grandchildren. My daughter is a modern day super hero raising kids and going to school and full time wife. I wish I had it so together when I was her age. My son Warren is growing so fast. He is so smart. I think I am raising a future engineer or abstract artist. I could not have asked for better children. My husband and I are still going strong. We love are new roles as grandparents. It is like a second chance at life. And our lives are definitely not boring. As a whole, LIFE IS GOOD!
