Isabelle's Story
After graduation from Samohi, I attended UCLA for 2years but left to work in Switzerland where I was born. It was a wonderful time but after 3 years, I wanted to return to Santa Monica where my family still lived. I was hired by IBM in LA and promoted to Chicago, where I worked for 10 years in administrative management. That is where I also met and married the love of my life, Alex Norvil. After our first daughter was born, we moved back to Santa Monica where we happily settled into our Ocean Park bungalow and soon opened a Cafe on Montana Ave. called Tour de Suisse. again and I sold the Cafe, Alex retired from IBM and We went on a summer hunt for a new home. That was Boulder, Colorado and we have been here for 45 years, Sadly, my Alex, passed away in May, 2017 but I am blessed to have our daughters, now married with children of their own, many good friends we have made here, and my two Besties, Pat and Mila from Samohi (in photo) to give me support and strength to enjoy my memories as well as what may be in store for my coming years. I visit Santa Monica almost every year and love to spend time sitting on my family’s memorial bench on the bluffs overlooking the beach at Montana Avenue, remembering those many good years.
