Iva's Story
After graduation I went to college for awhile and then worked full time in a law office while going to school part-time. I got married in 1986 and had the first of my five children in 1988. I have four girls and one son (bless his heart, he is in the middle of all those girls). My oldest daughter will turn 21 this year and has given me my first grandchild and son named Hayden. My second child is going to Georgia Tech to be an Industrial Engineer and will be doing study abroad in China this fall. She will be getting married possibly next summer if they can work out all the details. My next two will be Sophomores in high school next year. My son is considering some form ...Expand for more
of engineering after graduation and my daughter has plans on going to nursing school at A&M in Corpus Christi. My youngest will be in 7th grade next year. I spent 17 years homeschooling my children. The last five years I have been working. I have worked four of those years at my church as their office administrator, which I love. It has been a great experience and a lot of fun serving in that capacity. Life has just been speeding by and shows no indication of slowing down anytime in the near future. It has been full and I have learned much along the way. I know I have a lot more to learn and that the rest will be just as full and that their is great joy in the journey.
