I moved from Moab for the last time after I received my degree in elementary education from USU in 1986 I though I would move back to Utah after about 5 years or so, but I was wrong. I think I know more people in the cementary now, than in town. My first teaching position was at a state training school for the profound and severly handicapped adults. I really enjoyed the eleven years I worked the the training school. After the school closed, I worked in public school for five years and then on two different Native American reservations. St. Anthony's Indian Mission School at Zuni was very interesting. It is operated by the Catholic Church and I attended Mass twice a week!! Now for an old agnostic like myself, that was dedication! A couple of years ago, I caught a virus which effected my lungs. Now I have to haul around an oxgyen tank where ever I go. It was just too difficult chasing a special ed 2nd grader around the playground when it was time to return to class.
