Ivan's Story
I was born and raised in NYC, graduated Sheepshead Bay High School there in 1969, then Queens College CUNY in 1973.
I attended a Computer Vocational school in NYC in 1977 and got hired by the Parent Tech Company that ran the school in 1978.
The job I had predated the introduction of the first IBM PC by three years.
I worked as Computer Based Training Designer, Programmer, Manager and Director for many Aerospace Companies (think Lockheed Martin for example) for more than 30 years in various cities and towns across the USA. I worked as a Government Contractor working on Department of Defense Contracts, holding a very high Security Clearance for 30 years.
Because of this responsibility, I have led a life void of any criminal record, don't drink, smoke or do any illegal drugs. I was investigated routinely by the FBI every 3-5 years as a part of my j...Expand for more
ob requirements on Government Contracts. The FBI background investigations included talking to my friends and neighbors wherever I was living at the time.
I am currently Retired and have enough retirement income not to worry about money. I am also a Widower.
My main hobby was playing drums and guitar, singing lead and background vocals mostly in clubs, bars, events, company parties, weddings and other family celebrations. I started as a 14 year old playing drums with friends in my basement and continued wherever I lived. I never planned to be a professional musician unless in actually came my way which it almost did when I was 18.
I have given up playing in bands in recent years because I got tired of carrying drums around. I still love music and I have a huge collection of songs from many decades and genres on my computer which I listen to daily.
