Ivonne's Story
Only a few close friends might remember me from Bayside H.S. I was quiet and barely made average grades. I moved around for 6 years following my husbands Navy career and had a bunch of looser jobs. I didn't "blossom" until after I had two kids and went to Universtiy of New Orleans. My first job after graduating was as a Science Teacher to 150 Jr.H.S kids, (5 classes a day, 30 students). Later I got my Masters Degree and I switched to teaching ESL. During my summers off I traveled with my own 2 kids, in truck and trailer to the Nation...Expand for more
al Parks. Husband had to stay home to work and take care of our rescued pets. I retired from teaching to live near the Smoky Mountains. I now love to hike with my friends and take photos. My kids also graduated college, have professional jobs and I now have 4 grandchildren, a 5th is in the future. They all live in MD, so I have a 2nd home to be near them. Husband has an oil related consulting company and travels all over the world. Sometimes I go with him. So far my life has been better than I ever expected. I count my blessings.
