Ivonne Zamarripa-Melendrez:  

Life I married my husband Eddie Melendrez on October 7, 2000, whom graduated in 1987 from Baldwin Park High School. I have my own small business. I am a Full Event Coordinator. A photographer who loves to take pictures of nature. I am currently a Full time Confirmation/Youth Coordinator at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Community in Covina where I work with teens, and Parents, I am a Annulment Advocate/Auditor for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, I have been able to encourage our parish teens to identify and use their talents to assist their community and parish as good members of society. Creating experiences that they can use in their own lives. For example living in a box, raising funds, by making hygiene kits and blankets for the homeless all while eating from a soup kitchen and learning about budgeting. This past year we were able to feed the homeless, Christmas Carol for the elderly who are home bound and many other things. Our team of Core members were able to develop a Parent teen retreat and run it for the families in our parish. Meeting with the teens every Thursday of the month, in with a Bible Study reading scripture and learning how it applies to our lives today, open topics, discussing issues we deal with as teens. (well hehehe Im a recycled teenager (what can I say), no really they keep us young) , Fun nights meeting together as teens and just having fun, either bowling, board games, flag football, wii and other games. Prayer /Adoration, meditation, or prayer for something we are dealing with or meditation for peace of self Travels: Europe, I took a 14 day experience World Youth Day 2011 joining many other Young Adults.
