J's Story
Autobiography of Jan Harmon (Howard)
*Christian, none smoker, casual drinker, widowed 8+ years, 2 kids in their 30s, 2 grandkids, live in Seagoville, Texas (southeast of Dallas out hwy 175).
*Chapter 1. If any of you remember, I was married in high school. I married the summer of my sophomore year and graduated in ÿ73 my junior year. Therefore, I didnÿt attend my senior year. Moved to Houston and started a family. 7 years and 2 kids later I divorced and moved to California. A year later I moved to Louisiana, then back to Dallas.
*Chapter 2. Single from ÿ79 until 2000 when I remarried. We dated 6 years and married in 2000. We found 30 acres in Seagoville and built a house that we designed. I had found my soul mate and life was grand. We were comfortable with our lives when he passed in 2003. I will forever miss him.
*Chapter 3. My Mom moved in with me. I wanted to take away the burden of bills that she had her whole life. Her life became relaxing and comfortable. We took some fun trips together. As a kid, I remember Momÿs health had never been good. She was very sick and in and out of the hospital for the last year and passed in 2007. She had been a part of my life for over 50 years and it doesnÿt seem like she is gone.

4. I had been in office management for 20 years. Had total burn out and changed careers in ÿ98 to the computer industry. More money than I had ever made. Then the economy crashed and we were all out of a job. I had no chance of staying in the industry when others with 30+ years of experience were also looking. Went back to office management and found a job a mile from home running a manufacturing company. I hated the job at first as it was not the corporate life I was used to. It turned out to be a perfect fit. I discovered that it was not office management I was tired of but the BS of corporate life.
*Chapter 5. Working a mile from home allows me to go home when ever I want or need. My boss is a wonderful Christian man and we work well together. He is in his 80s, retired and has given me reign so he can concentrate on his interests.
Chapter 6. Thirty acres keeps me busy during the growing season. Iÿm either mowing or watering and sometimes both. I have 3 parrots (Oscar, Odie, Cookie), 1 dog (blu heeler Mandy), 1 cat (Toby) 2 mares (Lucy & Molly) 1 stud (Dudley) and 2 new babies this month. They are all starved for affection. I have a web page but have forgotten the link to it but will post pics when I get new ones.
