JACQUELINE's Story

I graduated in January 1972 and went to Lincoln Land. Returned to graduated with the class. I married my high school sweetheart who I engaged senior prom night - Joe Henton - 10 months after graduation. After 39 years, we still are together, happy, have two daughters, four grandchildren. We live in Rochester. Joe is retired and I am self employed with my floral design business plus work part time as the office manager at Nickorbobs Home Decor in Divernon, Illinois. We both enjoy the same hobbies - fishing, camping, and fishing and camping more!!.I always loved gardening and still do. We have 60 different daylilies, 40 different iris, 50 different hostes, and a large koi fish pond. I was pretty quite and backward in high school plus did not get out to socialize very much. I did have an orange Nova II with black stripes. Some of my close friends, that I cam remember after 40 years were: Kay Christmon, Becky Meyer, Ann Lewis, Sharon Darling. Also, in different classes there was Maurice Mathis, Vicky Marshall, Karen Westerhold, Gloria Wake. This is only a few I can remember now. I lived in the country, a only child, my Dad was a State Police Man down the road from Kluzeks Tree Farm. As with everyone and ...Expand for more
life in general, I have had my share of medical issues but have survived all of them. As long as they can replace, patch, band, add steel, and clean out this aging body, I will keep bouncing back...... I have always lived here, will never complain about my life, in fact I feel I have enjoyed a fantastic lucky life so far, not by money but everything else. I have friends and family I can count on for anything and everything. I am looking forward to haveing another German Shepard Puppy. I have had up to 7 german shepherds at one time in the past. I raised them and taught obedience at Capital Canine Training Club in Chatham. As they died off, I switched to indoor cats because they can be left for weekends, etc. BUT I do miss the training and a dog. My husband does not agree but hopefully soon I will be able to get that pup and train him for obedience,. Cats are wonderful but independent. A dog will do anything for you at anytime.......just for a pat on the head. Great. Hard to believe we have been out of school for 40 years.......sure makes me feel old. Funny thing is my mind and sole feels 30 but my body says diferent!!!!! ha ha Life is unpredicable so we are here for the ride. Just enjoy while it lasts.
