It was very hard to adjust because there were many prejudice girls attending. I tried to make the best of it and cried the first night. Mrs. Branham, Ms. Freeland and Ms Hutchinson helped me to adjust. There were rules and I had to have my own chaperone. I had to sit in the balcony of the movie theatre, ride the back of the bus, drink from a different fountain, as well as come in the back of our favorite burger place. I was not used to doing this being from Orlando, FL. My father was a very prominent doctor. He had patients of all races that weren't treated any different. My youngest son, Bryan, graduated (May 2009) from Georgetown University Graduate Law Center with an LLm in Estate Taxation. He now has a 2nd LLm in Business Taxation. His JD is from Mercer University in Macon, GA. He is a member of the Georgia Bar as of January 2009. He is, at present an Estate Tax Attorney for the I.R.S. in Atlanta, Georgia, and supervises other Estate Tax Attorneys in the office. He is also a member of the International team and speaks several languages. He lives in Fairburn, Georgia. I am so proud of my sons. Nothing exciting other than the birth of my sons, allows me to carry on. I have come in contact with Genie Montgomery, from MHS. What a reunion (46 yrs.). I am retired from Orange County Florida Supervisor of Elections Office as of March 2013 and am living and enjoying my life to the fullest.
