JOHN's Story
Following graduation in 1963, John attended CCNY for four semesters on an Education scholarship. John switched majors to Business Management in 1965 when job requirements forced John to move to a 6 credit semester at CNY night school. He was soon drafted into the US Navy in January 1966. Following Boot Camp and Crypto tech âAâ school, John was shipped to Viet Nam where he served two tours assigned to Spec Comm. DIV. and aboard USS Coral Sea, CVA 43. Following Viet Nam John was assigned to the NATO base, Iceland, and then various embassy billets around the world. John served a total of 46 Months .
Following the navy, John secured a job with the Field Engineering Division of IBM. While with IBM he continued his education in Computer Science, Business management at NYIT. After 10 years with IBM, John was recruited by JPMorgan. John held several positions as an officer of the firm including Manger of JPM trading floor technology and later Head of JPMorgan Trading Business Recovery. John now occupies his time playing golf, keeping up with chores around the home and entertaining his three grand children
John follows some sports including the Mets, Yankees, Giants and Jets,
John likes most musical genres with Country the best. His Favorites include Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Brooks & Dunn, Faith Hill, etc..
John is a big Broadway Musical fan. He and his wife have seen more than 70 shows (Some more than once). Favorites include: Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Lea Solonga, Patty LaPone, etc.
John likes to read including all the Bill O'Reilly and Mark Levin books. John also enjoys reading period novels e.g. "The Winds of War" etc..
John is a big movie and TV fan. He likes Romantic Comedy including When Harry Met Sally, Just Like Heaven, No Reservations, The Legends of Zorro, etc. TV shows include NCIS, NCIS LA, The Black List, JAG, Bull, DWTS, Survivor, Blue Bloods, Hawaii 50, etc.
