JOHNNY's Story
Age 77 finds me living on a hill in the hill country near Lakeside Village, a small town on the west side of Lake Whitney in Bosque County on Hwy. 56. Carolyn and I are still very active in the Sons of Confederate Veterans as a public speaker and songwriter/producer as well as with my western swing music.
Our daughter, Paula, lives near us on her horse ranch. She has won many competitive awards and sold many of her famous performance horses used in shows all over the country.Paula is one of the largest insurors of churches and other non-profits in Texas. She has given us a grandaughter, Lindsey, and she has, in turn, given us a great grandson. Their hobby has been traveling the world...an amazing thing to us "old folks."
We still stay in contact with Terry For...Expand for more
bes out in Lubbock. We were saddened
to hear about A.O. Evans passing away this year.
Anyone from BHS 60 is welcome to visit and go over "old times." I'm not up-to-date on who still remains in our graduating class as I haven't heard from anyone other than Terry lately. I am only aware of Harriet Johnson in Waco and the former Ann Morgan in Clifton in my vicinity, but Carolyn and I haven't been fortunate to meet with either.
I guess folks want to remember one another as we were 60 years ago, not the way
we matured into much different personalities.. There has certainly been "a lot of water go under the bridge" in each of our lives.
Best of health to everyone and may God bless each of you and have you live
as He would have you live. J. Pat (Johnny) Baughman
