John W.'s Story

Life If there is one thing that has ever bugged me the most it has got to be the fact that I was never taught how to study. Sure, the teachers in our school system teach us what to study but not one of them has ever taught us how to study. Consequently, I wasted years (time) going to college and a lot of my parents' and my own money. Now Bush is saying, " . . . leave no child left behind . . . " What a crock! It's same-'o-same from my stand point. I want to pursue an advanced degree but "they" say that my GPA is too low to get in. go back to school, initially to raise my GPA and then to advance, instead of flipping burgers at the local Burger King or maybe working for a Temp Agency. Get Real! Outside of the Entertainment Business, Real Estate and Insurance Sales are two of the highest paid occupations that a person can do without a college degree and you only have to be 18 to start. Furthermore, even after I earn my degree(s), I have no guarantee of employment. So I’ve decided to CMA, i.e., Cover My Ass and do things that generate a substantial income during the summer and while I attend classes. If you have any suggestions as to how I can improve my study skills, I would greatly appreciate them.
