Jack's Story
Hello everybody, we've all had changes since our last reunion.
Diane, my wife took her own life on 8-1-03. In May of 04 my son Andrew graduated from Columbia
College in Chicago and about a year later was hired by EA Gaming
Company and moved out to Los Angeles where he has established
himself. He comes back at Christmas time to visit.
In June of 04 I met Charlotte
at the Plymouth Historical Museum (if you haven't been inside this place you owe it to yourself to come on out on Sat-or-Sun afternoon, you will be amazed at what they have)I have been their Video Historian for the last 15 years. My job is to tape all of their monthly meetings and changing exhibits. Charlotte is
a lady that has worn many hats in her life, from working at Jacobson's in Dearborn where my Mom also worked and they would talk on occasion. Being past President of a fence company,
owning horses for more than 30 years, helping to organize and participate in equestrian and historical reenactment events. My first date with Charlotte was in Milford at the Chautauqua Festival where she was in charge of entertainment, this consisted of President Lincoln and his wife.
A man from Toledo that is a
top rated whip cracker, knife throwing, rope spinning and blow gun expert. The complete chuckwagon with all the cooking
pieces like you see in the m...Expand for more
ovies.
He served up an excellent meal.
Their I was, camera in hand filming it all. Since that day we have moved on to form Visiting Historians LLC. Our most popular couple is Annie Oakley & Frank Butler her husband/manager.
Charlotte owns three horses that are boarded nearby.
About ten years ago I became a member of the Falcon Club of America this "non-profit organization is dedicated to preserving the Falcon & Falcon Ranchero. Although I have never
owned one, they have always had
a special spot in my High School memories. Shortly after joining the FCA I received a notice that a local chapter was forming and thir first meeting would be held in Canton. I volunteered to be the Newsletter Editor, which mean't I was their for the Woodward Dream Cruise and various car shows that the Chapter would participate in. As a member of the FCA I have had the opportunity to travel around the country with Diane and then Charlotte for the National Convention. I have taped alot of great looking Falcons, traveled to parts of this country that I would not normally go to and have met Falcon owners that I consider lifelong friends. Mark your calenders the FCA is coming to Dearborn on July 15-17 at the Hyatt to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Falcon.
Shortly after meeting Charlotte I
resigned as Newsletter Editor.
