Jack's Story
While in college I was fortunate to study piano technology with William F. Connelly, Steinway's concert technician in Pittsburgh and follow in his footsteps for almost 40 years now. Over the years I have served countless performers as their piano tuner/technician at almost every venue in and around Pittsburgh. I have been in charge of the pianos at Pitt, Chatham, Carlow, and on Staff at Carnegie Mellon School of Music for over 14 years and have been the house technician at Carnegie Music Hall for the last 25 years. ...Expand for more
People keep telling me I should write a book. I was with Chuck Noll recently and told him of a time that Terri Bradshaw was asked to leave the stage at the Mellon Arena because he was "singing" and I needed to work. We both laughed! And that was during his Super Bowl years... I have enjoyed playing the organ for the last 40+ years and look forward to as many more as God would have me play. As the years have gone on I believe the greatest lesson I have learned has been to love unconditionally the way God loves us.
