All along PCH 1 is the railroad. I think cross country rides via the rail road is going on the bucket list!
The Mission at Santa Barbara. A beautiful chapel rich in design, ornamentation and ritual surrounded by simplicity. As a history buff, I have always wonder about the power of this contrast.
Traveling north on PCH 1 towards Santa Barbara, there was this distant island. Surrounded by haze and what appeared to be an old pirate ship approaching it. GOONIES (1985 flashback)!
PCH 1 Road Trip. A fun little place just north of Monterey. Phil’s Fish Market and Eatery. Great seafood in Moss Landing CA. Population 240. The night we were there, a live blue grass band twanging out songs.
PCH 1 Road Trip. Due to mid slides on PCH, we had to detour for awhile south of Monterey. The landscape is very dry and there are scrappy hardy trees dotting the rocky hills. A black and white high contrast interpretation.
