Jack's Story
Hi,
So I haven't been the best at attending the reunions...did make one.
After HS, I attended TVCC, Tacoma Community College and graduated from St. Martin's University in 1971 with a BS in Engineering.
Kennie Elfbrant and I were married for 9 years, had two great kids while living in Olympia, Washington. Both Kim and Jack Jr are UW grads and have 5 children between thier families. This is the best part of my story and has brought me the most joy.
I lived in Seattle in the early 70's and since 1985 in Bellevue, Wa. Except for one year in Alexandria Virgina, I lived the remainder of the time in Portland.
While living in Portland I remarried (to a portland woman) and have since divorced.
I have worked as an Engineer since graduation mostly on water projects for the Corp...Expand for more
s of Engineers, Ebasco Services, Raytheon Engineers and Constructors, Washington Group International (formerly MK), Jacobs Engineers, and now Arup as the America's Water Business Leader. I worked on a few highway projects but as a desert boy appear to be drawn to navigation, flood control, water supply and hydro projects.
I have traveled alot with my job mostly in the west to water sites but have been in nearly every state due to work. I have taken vacation trips to
My current hobbies that I really enjoy are swing dancing and golf. I was into sailing and skiing for a time, too.
My closest friends in HS were my track, hunting, and science/math class mates. Including Wade Reynolds, Ron Satter, Nolan Masumoto, Glenn Hashitani, Francis Ito, and Brent ...readily come to mind.
