Life
Hello fellow Helix Highlanders!!! I am back from the Middle East. I am working again for American Airlines flying International..and "I got married this year 2007" My wife Gina and I are very happy. It has been a very busy year since my return from Afghanistan. I am truly blessed though and am excited to share the news with all my fellow Highlanders... Looking very much forward to our High School reunion.
So let me bring you up to date since leaving Helix High School and before my recent marriage to Gina.
I was married to Marie Jonsson a girl I met while attending school in Sweden my junior year of high school. We were married shortly before graduating Helix back in 1978. We have two beautiful children together, William and Jennifer. Marie is now residing back in Sweden and we are still friends to this day. My son William is now living in Anchorage, Alaska working on secure internet systems for a company that is one of the primary contractors for the military. I am very proud of the young man he has become. Jennifer is a singer-song writer living in Seattle and I am very proud of her. My youngest daughter is now 9 going on 21. I am still a big Charger and Padre fan by the way. In any case, I am currently married living part-time in my home located in a small seashore town called Ocean Shores and spending the rest of our time living in our other home in Olympia Washington. We love the ocean breezes and sound of waves breaking on the beach. I see my youngest daughter Avery as often I can when I am in the Seattle area and she spends a good deal of time with us at the beach and in Olympia.

ing for the Hughes for nearly 2 years I got my shot to go to the United States Army Flight School at Ft Rucker Alabama. I served for 10 years on active duty as an Army Helicopter and Fixed Wing Pilot attaining the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3. During that 10 year period I was stationed in Germany for 5 years, Korea for a year and bases around the United States including Ft Huachuca AZ, and Ft Benning GA. During that time I completed my Bachelors Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida.
I left the military in 1989 after being hired as an Airline Pilot for American Airlines where I am still employed and currently fly International based in Chicago. I have been fortunate to fly domestic as well as international routes. Trips with American have taken me across the Pacific Ocean to Japan; across the North Atlantic to Scandinavia and major cities in Europe. I have flown extensively throughout South America visiting many of the major countries like Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Venezuela. However, following the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the lost of many of my personal friends and fellow pilots I felt compelled to return to the military in some way. Nearly four years ago I signed on to fly for the National Guard as a part-time helicopter pilot. ThatÂs where this story currently ends as I am one of those National Guard pilots doing my part continuing to serve following my deployment to Afghanistan in the ongoing war against Terrorism. As a Helix High School graduate I am proud to be able to contribute to our great country and would love to hear from fellow students.
