Jack's Story
For those who remember me from my Parkdale years and may be wondering vaguely what I got up to after graduating: I did History and Politics at U of T. In August 1972, I went on a 2-week European singing tour with the Toronto Mendelsohn Choir(London, Harrogate, Aldwych, Paris, Lucerne), and ended up staying in Europe for almost 10 years. any. I worked mostly as a freelance English teacher, learning French and German fluently on the side.. I returned to Canada in 1982, got a Masters and BEd and taught Secondary French and History in Fenelon Falls, and later French Immersion in Belleville. Since retirement, in 2012, I have been doing lots more travel(S Africa, S America, China, and next India) as well as language learning - Spanish and Mandarin. There IS a career after retirement.
