Jack's Story

Life Wow, I don't even know where to begin. I joined the army reserves right out of high school because I knew I needed discipline though I had no intentions of staying for an extended length of time. I then attended TJC for a year, moved to Stillwater and attend school for a semester (I still liked to party to much!), and then moved to Memphis to live with my dad and attend school for a year. I moved back to Tulsa in 91 got my old job back at Camelot Music, and went into their management training program. I also managed to follow the Grateful Dead form time to time during this period. I then (92) was reintroduced to my now wife (Mandi Gresham) who also attended Memorial but graduated in 89 and moved to Tulsa from San Francisco her sophomore year. I then moved to Dallas and Mandi moved as well from OSU to attend school in Texas while I ran various stores and worked my way up to area manger. During this time Mandi decided to attend nursing school at Baylor and I was fortunate enough to land a job on the ground floor of an up and coming company. Over the next 9 years I worked my way up to Director of Business operations by the mentorship of some great people who were willing to give me an opportunity and earn equity in their company. I also got married in 99 and we had our first child Jacob. It was such a blessing! We moved form Dallas to San Antonio to Tulsa back to Dallas...Expand for more
, and then back to Tulsa. During this time we had a daughter Morgan in 01, and another son Joseph in 03! Again fantastic creations that give our lives meaning! I also gained a ton of weight during this time and shot up to 220! I have since got back to my high school weight of 162! My wife and kids motivate me to stay healthy! I want to see them grow up to be good people! I finally left my former job as Director of Business operations with TEK to go to work with some gentlemen out of the Boston area who I have helped grow their company. It was great opportunity and gave me the skills needed to start my own company. I had fun runnning sales for them and it afforded us the opportunity to move to Houston. Well now I am running my own company out of Houston doing IT services! How quickly things change! Well there is much more detail about how we change as people and how life is still an amazing experience of discovery every day but I don't even know if anyone cares or if anyone will read this! I hope if you cared enough to read this that things in your life are going well and that how ever you define happiness it does not elude you! I found life to be very tough but very rewarding. When I look back to high school, about how lost and insecure I was and the unbelievable amount crap that I am sure we all had to deal (personal) with it never ceases to amaze me that I am even alive!
