Jack's Story
Life
Worked at Posins after graduation. Attended American University 1956 to 1958. Moved to Calif in 1958. Graduated UCLA 1962. Became CPA in 1964. Eventually became managing partner of a large Hollywood CPA firm in Hollywood. Left firm in 1976 to start Jack Silas & Associates, a a law firm practice management consulting firm. Had offices in Los Angeles and Rockville, Maryland. Retired July 1999 from Jack Silas and Associates, Retired from the AICPA after 40+ years membership. Periodically lectured to Bar Associations on practice management subjects in my retirement years.
Travel in our 32' fifth wheel trailer (RV) towed by a Ford F250 super duty pickup truck w/Rochelle, my wife. Spend winters in Las Vegas area and travel USA and Canada during summer months. Currently spending summers in the mountains of Utah about 45 minutes from Bryce National Park.. Was active in Rotary International for over 40 years. ians who own and travel in their RVs. Volunteer for my Elks Lodge and temple doing various community service projects. Enjoy photography, working out, playing many different board games. fishing and playing bridge. Planning the chair the 65th Reunion to be held in 2020 in Maryland.
Have been married to my best friend Rochelle since 1976. We originally married in 1976, got divorced, dated during divorce and then remarried in 1992. If you call any classmate with whom you are in contact, they will give you my contact information. I will respond ASAP.
Military
I joined the Naval Reserve during the Korean War under a special program opened to high school students in order to avoid the draft. I joined with 2 other friends, Jimmy Carroll and Tracy Chewning. It was fun going to boot camp with them in Bainbridge Maryland as well as the time spent together going to meetings. I remember Tracy's old car and our weekly meetings, I believe on Tuesday every week. Tracy has since passed away and Jimmy lives in Georgia.
