Jacki's Story
Life
Hi everyone. Just a quick note on my life. After graduating from San Marcos High, I started college at UC Santa Barbara but after being pestered by my family to come home, I finished college at Northern Illinois. Yes I traded fun in the Sun for corn country. After working a year and a half at the Chicago Bar Association, as administrator of a battered women's program, I moved to St. Louis, MO to go to law school at Washington University. 2 weeks before law school, I got married. I like to do things the easy way. My first son was born 4 days before graduation. (He will be 16 in next week.) My husband thought I had so much fun in law school that he decided to start 3 months later. second son was born 11 years ago. After switching to part-time for two years, I decided to take some time off of work when my third son was born in 2000. A year later, I went back to work part time at a new firm. I have now returned to the full time practice of law, doing trust and estate work. In addition, I keep my self busy by being active at my kids' schools, sports activities and still trying to train the not so new dog. The previous dog did a great job of training us but this time I thought we would try it the other way around. Although we had always intended to move back to Chicago after law school , after almost 18 years, we are still in St. Louis. Our kids would probably kill us if we tried to move back now. Well that is my exciting life in a nut shell.
