Jackie's Story
I am currently living in Rock Hill, SC, 15 minutest to Charlotte, NC, 2 1/2, hours to Myrtle Beach, Biltmore Estates, and Beech Mtn. great skiing...I have 2 grown children, 5 grands, and currently single..I left Chanute in 1985 and moved to Topeka, where I became Catering Director for Park Inn International hotels. After being there for almost 3 years, and being the host hotel for the Desert Storm Troops, flying over..I left to work at Wal-Mart's first super center called Hypermart..there I over saw several depts and after working there 11 years was promoted to Wal-Mart's corp offices in Bentonville, AR. There I was managing associate theft, and subrogation accounts for the company in the Loss Prevention Department, which included all stores and Sam's Clubs located in the United States. Leaving there after 4 years to be with my mother when she was ill, and finally moving to SC to help my daughter with her second pregnancy which has been 10 years now. r for Macy's. After a bad car accident, which left me unable to lift or move very well for over a year, I took a position with Hilton Garden Inn, as guest agent, and night manager on duty. That will be three years this August first. I have many accomplishments and awards the last 10 years..one of my most cherished has been given the Outstanding Customer Service Award from the city of Rock Hill, and York county. A large presentation ceremony and presentation of the award by the Mayor, City Manager, and President of the CVB. I have also met and befriended many local and international travelers whom are very dear to me and I will cherish their friendship forever. I would never have expected my life to turn out to be such a blessing and to have accomplished what I have, still amazes me at times. I have learned to never sell your self short..the quite, meek, person I use to be has become an award winning Manager for a major retail corporation, an award winning hotel, and have close friends who run major corporations all over the world...Life is Great!!
