Jackie's Story
After graduating Bennett HS studied Music and Voice at the University of Buffalo, competed and won in the Voices of Tomorrow Competition, sang at Chautauqua, and soloist at various churches around Buffalo went to New York for a year to study and work, and then moved to Heidelberg to study and audition. Son was born in Germany and I got to sing at the Heidelberg Opera Company, and Bayreuth Festspiel. Returning to New York in 1975, performed in various off -off Broadway shows and worked on shows with Al Carmines until he passed in 2007 and performed as the Old Maid in Menotti's "Old Maid and the Thief", In 1989 attended Law school. Currently practice law in New York County mostly in the real estate and as a tenant advocate. President of the West Side Community Garden ( see picture) where we host a Children's Shakespeare Festival each summar , and new music concert series. the website is westsidecommunitygarden.org
