Jackie's Story
Life
This is picture of me on my honeymoon cruise in November, 2006. 41 years after my first husband, Jimmie Brooks, was killed in Vietnam, I married my significant other of 24 years, Navy Chief Radioman and Escambia County Sheriff's Department dispatcher Glenn Rothe, who turns 74 in May. He's a great guy! I have two children, three grandchildren and two Maltese dogs that are spoiled and wonderful. We live in Mrytle Grove and would love to talk to old classmates.

eyes for Hilda Cook! Darn! Guess my only other crush was on bad boy Troy Bledsoe. We dated for a while, but my only real love (crushes aside) was Jimmie Brooks, who left Tate in 1955 to go into the Army. We wrote to each other and saw each other on his leaves, but I wasn't allowed to go out with him until I got to be 14! We married when I was 17 and a senior. I'm glad we did, although I know now I was too young. But since he died in 1965 in Vietnam, I wouldn't want to have missed any of our too-brief six year marriage or our two wonderful children.
