Jackie's Story
College
My entire college experience was a good one. It was kind of hard because I went back to finish after my youngest graduated from high school. My first thought on my first day was "I have got to be crazy". My wildest assignment was to give a speech on how to make a gift basket.
How do I hope old friend remember me? i just hope that they remember me. It has been so long. But for those who remember who I am, I hope they remember me as a fun-loving person and a good friend.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong.
My favorite way to relax is to pray first and then vent to my husband.
The wildest thing I did at school was done at 31st Street beach.
I have a few heros. The first is my mother. She taught me to be resourceful and inventive and how to stay positive in a negative situation. My mom taught me to be strong and gave me the work ethic that I have. My grandmother taught me that I can do nothing without the Lord, for he is my light, strenght, peace and joy. My 6th grade mentor, Mrs. Lowe taught me that I can be anything I want to be, because I had the brains and determination to do it.

one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Carrie Neal, because she was my best friend and I owe her an apology.
The biggest surprise in my life is that nothing I planned happened. I wanted to be a nurse, marry a doctor, live in Hawaii and have 2 children. Instead, I live in Florida, I have 6 children and I am married to a garbage man (he makes as much as a doctor). But my life is good because I am healthy, joyful and at peace.
My current age is 52. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be close to death. I was so completely wrong.
What happened to my first crush? Mr. Daniel Green, Jr. I married him in 1985. Unfortunately, it only lasted 7 years. We have a son, who is 36 years old. (You do the math)
My best friend would tell you I'm very warm, loving and giving, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as aloof, stand-offish and mean looking.
I share my home with my husband and two dogs, which I find peaceful after raising 6 children.
If I had one do over, I would have listened to my mother more.
The thing that would surprise everyone at the high school reunion is that I still pretty much look the same, just a little heavier.
